Diagonal or Vertical?

Comfort food
Sometimes, I just take a break from reality & adulthood responsibilities. When I do this, I head straight to the cupboard & pull out the JIF and Smuckers. There is nothing better, in my opinion, than a yummy sandwich that takes you back to the years you were still playing with finger paint. An added bonus or two? It take 3 seconds to make and peanut butter keeps you full & energetic for hours. I always liked to switch things up with PB & B (peanut butter and banana) or apples and peanut butter. Actually, anything with peanut butter. I'm addicted. Peanut butter trumps all other condiments!

My questions for you: Do you cut your PB & J diagonally or vertically? What's your favorite childhood snack?

A Poem in Your Pocket, A Clydesdale in Your Clutch

Charles & Lil' Will
So, like everyone, I had a blanket and stuffed animal. Here's some news. I still adore them. First problem is...I lost my blanky on a trip to Florida when I got severely ill. Thus, this made my trip even worse. I never found her. Her as in Blanky. It's a long story concerning the sex of a blanket. Simply put, a four year old thinks her blanket is an animate she.
Now, I have Teddy but also Horsey. Horsey also has a more proper name. Charles. Charles is quite old. His neck is starting to wear through. After all, Charles still accompanies me when my head hits the pillow. I know! So juvenile. But he is the perfect pillow. Pillows are too, pillowy. Charles is soft & squishy.
The little guy? That's his son, Lil' Will. I got Lil' Will just this past summer from my family. He is so, so petite and wonderful! He fits in my purse, can attach around a pencil. He is fun size. Thus, when my Clydesdale horse, Charles is too hefty for toting around, Lil' Will comes along in my clutch.

Made with Love

My beloved beaded bracelet
Some of my most prized possessions are honestly things nobody would probably ever want. I am attached to raggedy old quilts, mangy cards made out of computer paper & crayons, beaded necklaces & bracelets, stringy knit scarves and decoupage quote books. However, they mean the world to me. They are handmade gifts made just for me. When I get these, I am so humbled by the thought, time and emotion put into them.
I love nothing more than my beaded bracelet. When people ask me about it (I wear it everyday), I say, "It matches everything I wear." It does. Even if it were all lime green, it would still be on my left wrist. No matter how stretched out it gets. By now, it is much too large and I occasionally worry the little elastic string will break and my beloved beads will go flying. But I can't get myself to take it off. It is simply too special. It was made with love. And I love it.
Do you make homemade gifts for the ones you love? What's the best one you've made? The one you've received?

November Inspiration

Dress-Modcloth; Boots-Nine West; Table, Couch, Bowls-Anthropologie; Necklace-J Crew; Satchel-Fossil

Here are a few of my favorite things for November fall. I am in love with a great leather product for the chilly weather in luxurious browns. I also am obsessed a mix of misty pastels contrasted against the smoky colors of autumn. A dainty hint of metallic, delicate collars, florals look so polished mixed with metal chains, rugged wooden accents and industrial zippers. Have I mentioned how much I adore this season?

What's in a Bag?

Moodeez
I am always amazed at how much of my life is in my purse. Seriously, I have to use giant bags. I mean, they are diaper bag size. I am always so proud of myself when I can fit everything into an amazingly chic little clutch or hand bag. Not satchel. Here are some things I find fantastic. These should be essentials in every lady's bag! They are life savers and fabulous!

1. Moodeez. You'll never be so excited to have your, well, you know!

2. Mini manicure kit. Saves your nails, saves you life. I got mine at Bath and Body. (Tend to come in and          out depending on the season)

3. My favorite pens! Write smooth every time. And beautiful colors.

4. My go-to lip color. Change the your look with lips for different events, not a different outfit!

5. Notebooks to record all the random thoughts of the day. Also perfect for boredom sketches.
