{Curious}...Interview Prep

Today I have my very first legit interview. Sure, I applied and interviewed for my part time sales associate job at a retail store, but I've never interviewed for a serious job that was really important to me. In case you're curious, it's a real writing job. Really! Although a part time job on campus, I would still be getting paid to write and edit. How thrilling is that? 

So I'm curious...do you have any tips? How do you psych yourself up? Do you wear your lucky undies? Do you have a ritual the morning of? How do you get yourself feeling superb and qualified? I'm wearing this blazer in purple to look professional while allowing my personality to shine through. I'd love some tips before I go in! Wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed!

{Weekend Update}...Preparations

List making, shopping, and packing were the three domination factors of my weekend. Thrilling, I know. Although pretty mundane, there is something very calming about preparing. A small part of me deep down is totally stressed out right. Freaking about if I have everything I need, contacting my roommates, and part of me is already missing my family. Although I'm only an hour and a half away, it can be hard to leave home and get right back into school mode.

So with lots going on in life, I like to take a deep breath and prepare for the storm ahead. Thanks to a wonderful family, I'm all ready and am feeling much better about the new things coming.

{Weekend Update}...Work n' Stuff

This weekend was busy. You know those busy weekends that feel like they drag, and then suddenly, it's Monday? And you're like woah, it's not the weekend anymore. That was this weekend. Old Navy is having their big "Stuff and Save" sale, it's crazy right now! Although I worked quite a bit, I had plenty of time to think (and start Mad Men!). 

When I'm at work, I love seeing all the people milling about. I so often wonder about their lives. People always appear so happy when they shop; at least I do. Some people get crabby and I wonder if they're always this snappy. Who knows? I am a person that likes people. But it's confusing, because sometimes, my intuition tells me otherwise. We'll have more on this this week, so stay tuned. Let's get you interested, though....
